Smarties Research

Year 5 were asked to conduct some smarties research based on ratio and proportion.

They were asked to find the different ratios of the colours and see if there were many differences between 20 tubes of smarties!

This was great fun and all the children worked extremely hard on our ratio topic.

Next time you have some smarties at home, see if you can work out the ratio of all the different colours!

Our Trip to Sulgrave Manor

This term Class 5 have been studying The Tudor Terrors. Children have been looking into the Tudor dynasty, Kings and Queens, religion and The Reformation and looking at the divide between the rich and the poor.

For this topic we went to Sulgrave Manor. Children had the opportunity to dress as maids and fellows, attend a Tudor school and to also visit a poor Blacksmith's house as well as a rich Tudor house.
